BORN::FREE LDN presents VERANDA \\n\\nAn evening of sound, poetry, & live experimentation. Expect an intimate, shifting space with a bit of serious dancing at the end!\\n\\nMA.MOYO (b. Zimbabwe) is a literary & sound artist, author of Small Inheritances (ignitionpress, 2018), & experiments with sound/text performance. Her works have been featured on various platforms including NTS, Boiler Room & BBC Radio. Her debut album, a collaboration with Duncan Bellamy (Portico Quartet) was released under the moniker BZDB on AD93 Records (2024). Her debut solo EP is Viva Voce Vol.1 (Accidental Meetings, 2025); she’s currently working on her first full collection of poems.\\n\\nISABELLE BAAFI is the author of Chaotic Good (Faber & Faber / Wesleyan University Press, 2025), which won the Jerwood Prize for Best First Collection, was shortlisted for the T. S. Eliot Prize & longlisted for the Dylan Thomas Prize. Her pamphlet Ripe (ignitionpress, 2020) won a Somerset Maugham Award & was a Poetry Book Society Pamphlet Choice. She edits at Poetry London & Magma.\\n\\nNADEEM DIN-GABISI - storyteller working with music, poetry & film. Nadeem's debut album OFFSHORE (Moshi Moshi) tackles themes of estrangement and identity with 'potent streams of consciousness'. Nadeem is 'inspired by Sierra Leonean pop music that is danceable despite the sorrowful lyrics...' OFFSHORE has received support from NPR, Fader (Best New Albums), The Quietus amongst others. Nadeem won the Fred Perry x Nicholas Daley Music Award (2021) & is a former Somerset House Studios resident. Nadeem is one half of An Alien Called Harmony (alongside Momoko Gill), their debut EP (2024) was released by New Soil & Total Refreshment Centre. \\n\\nKEMARR is a designer & DJ from SW LDN where his Jamaican roots merged with his love for Hip-Hop, around grime & garage music's peak. Known for his eclectic club selections & elaborate style, Kemarr will take you on a journey through reggaeton, dancehall, afro house, baile funk and everything in between. Expect timeless classics fused with rare instrumentals and dubs. \\n\\n
