RAPRAVE presents INCUBATOR, an exploratory event series intended to foster rising talent within our communities. Join us this Friday at SANGS in Bushwick as we welcome [2011] for their debut set. This collaborative project between seasoned selector [SHEBA] and sonic wiz [JCR] is focused on pushing forward hard club edits with experimental sounds to keep you moving all night. [Lil Zé] channels an interstellar force on the decks, weaving sounds of the global south and the Black diaspora. Heavy drums and vocal chants create both the destination and the journey. Transitioning from URL to IRL, we sync with hyper/link Vol. 2 contributor [TWAANKALU]. The DJ/producer adopts an energetic pace, mixing acoustic and metallic textures that reflect life in the concrete jungle. Techno Casa founder [Mui Mui] embodies a chameleon-like approach, crossing genres with a deep love for percussive rhythms and low end frequencies, ranging from wobbly dubstep to raw, break-y techno.
