The second installment of Amaury Acosta’s three-part residency, Klavéspardise, arrives with a groundbreaking collaboration between two of the most visionary percussionists of their generation: King Klavé and Pedrito Martinez. Together, they present La Rumba del Futuro a bold exploration of rhythm, tradition, and technology. Each artist brings their own station of drums, percussion, samplers, and electronics to create an unprecedented soundscape, fusing folkloric Afro-Cuban heritage with the pulse of the modern world. Honoring the ancestors while reimagining what’s next, this performance marks a new intersection in Afro-Cuban music one that’s never been documented or experienced quite like this before. Born in Havana and revered as a master of Afro-Cuban percussion, Pedrito Martinez has worked with legends including Wynton Marsalis, Paul Simon, Bruce Springsteen, and Sting. A Grammy nominee and first-call rumbero, Pedrito’s mastery of the batá drum and his electrifying live energy have made him a global ambassador of Cuban rhythm. King Klavé, the Cuban-American drummer, composer, and producer behind Klavéspardise, continues his mission to merge the ancestral and the avant-garde — pushing the limits of live performance and redefining the sound of New York’s global music scene. Expect a night of raw rhythm, layered textures, and deep cultural resonance a true celebration of where the music has been, and where it’s going next. Live Performance 8PM–11PM
