
A live set blending cello, electronics, and voice into an intimate, exploratory sound world rooted in Yiddish tradition, improvisation, and experimental textures.\\n\\nFrancesca Ter-Berg is a cellist, composer & producer originally from Hackney, now based in Margate. She works as a solo artist, collaborator and multi-disciplinary artist with a wide range of creators across many genres. Ter-Berg is known for her unique musical style inspired by traditional Yiddish music, improvisation, jazz, dub and ethereal string sounds.\\n\\nShe is one-half of multi-award nominated string duo Fran & Flora (with violinist Flora Curzon). The two have received widespread radio support, appearing live on BBCRadio4 Woman’s Hour, Cerys Matthews BBC6Music show, Worldwide FM and countless more. Critically acclaimed releases include 'In Eynem' (Phantom Limb label ’21 - Best Experimental Music on Bandcamp + Quietus Best Releases of 2021), ’Precious Collection' (Fran & Flora, Hidden Notes Records’24 - Guardian Top 10 Best Folk Albums of 2024) and Unfurl (Fran & Flora, self release’19, ‘album of beguiling beauty’ - Clive Bell, The Wire).\\n\\nShe has collaborated and toured with groundbreaking artists including Imogen Heap, Talvin Singh, Frank London, Riz Ahmed, Portico Quartet, Patrick Wolf, Alabaster De Plume, Hannah Peel & Tom Skinner and has performed live at the EFG London Jazz Festival, WOMAD, Kings Place, Glastonbury Festival, Cafe Oto, Cadogan Hall & the Royal Festival Hall.
