About this event

Advance tickets are now sold out, but the night isn’t. We keep most of our capacity for walk-ups. Come down early, it’s free before 9pm, with tickets available on the door after for £10.\\n\\n________________________\\n\\nDue to the success of Kilengi in Bristol, we're very excited to be bringing the party to London. Kilengi is a club night curated by DJ, bassist and producer Marla Kether. Each instalment sees some of the UK's finest DJs bringing a fresh selection of afrodiasporic bass music from South America, the UK, Lisbon, the Caribbean and beyond.\\n\\nFor lovers of: Dancehall • Garage • 140 • Afro House • Baile Funk • Dembow • Afrobeats • Kuduro • Global Bass\\n\\n‘Kilengi’ means joy in Koutouba, one of the languages native to Congo. It’s a dance party guarantee that a night shaking ass with us will leave you feeling euphoric, revitalised and a lil bit sweaty. All we ask in exchange is that you respect your fellow party goers. We want this to be a safe space for everyone.\\n\\nNow without further ado, meet the DJs:\\n\\nMARLA KETHER\\n\\nBorn in London to Congolese parents, Marla Kether is a bassist, producer and DJ. Since taking up DJing during lockdown in 2020, she has rapidly honed her craft. She’s been busy taking her high-energy sets around the world, securing bookings at Glastonbury, Shambala Festival, Little Simz’s Tate Modern Lates, and supporting Loyle Carner on his US tour alongside playing in the band. 2025 saw Marla DJ at major festivals including Outlook, We Out Here and Down The Rabbit Hole, to name a few. She has also contributed standout mixes for BBC Radio 6 Music, Crack Magazine, NTS and Selector Radio. Her selections reflect the breadth of her musical world, blending kuduro, dembow, GQOM and Jersey club with house and techno from across the globe.\\n\\nINDA FLO\\n\\ninda Flo is a DJ, radio host and event promoter rooted in techno, global bass, percussive club, electronic and world sounds. Describing herself as an “assassin selector, relentless blender, and worldwide cratedigger”, inda Flo is divinely called to build, bridge and blend worlds of sound and spirit, culture and cosmos, across waters and beyond bordeLOLrs. Expect higher frequencies, heavy basslines and melt-in-mouth melodies that move the soul. She recently marked three years as a resident on Voices Radio with her monthly show Techno World Music. Alongside this, she has hosted guest shows on NTS, Rinse (SWU), Soho Radio, Foundation FM and Reprezent Radio.\\n\\nLOL\\n\\nlol works to bridge the gap between hardcore and house.
