Riverloom: a night of live ambient and experimental music

Mochyn Daer presents an evening of live ambient & experimental music at The Bath House in celebration of their debut album, Riverloom, releasing 24th April.\\n\\nAcross the night, artists will present longform sets, merging the organic and electronic, where sounds unfold gradually. Moving between the intimate and the expansive, here music draws on natural processes, resonance, and repetition, creating environments that feel both grounded and otherworldly. Perfect for deep listening, meditation, community connection and grounded alignment as you go into the weekend \\n\\nExpect a cozy space, with low light and immersive soundscapes. Come to sit, lie down, or simply drift. Guests are invited to bring cushions, mats, blankets, to get as comfy and horizontal as possible in the space. \\n\\nLine Up:\\n\\nOutland Sea is an ambient drone experiment combining synthesis, found sounds, folk strings and woodwind. Shifting, generative rivulets furrow dense dronescapes into shrouds of distorted particulate. Melodic fragments surface, unfold and dissolve before being reabsorbed into the wider field, while textures flicker between the organic and the electronic.\\n\\nMochyn Daer is Welsh artist inspired by the meeting of the mythical and the mechanical. A place where ancient stories and songs resonate through modern circuitry, each amplifying the other, and finding powerful new meanings in the sound. They combine ethereal bilingual vocals, clarinet, gongs, field recordings, stones, shells and bells with modular electronics to shape a sonic cynefin, inviting you to step in and simply drift. \\n\\nTheir forthcoming release, Riverloom, is a meandering tapestry of ambient, folk, drone and experimental textures. Exploring what it means to weave with threads of memory and creativity, ever spinning back to their homeland of Wales. The album moves like water, carrying fragments of dreams, gathered river stones, half remembered melodies, inherited stories and field recordings collected from places they return to again and again.\\n\\nResonant Tide Collective are a trio of sonic wayfarers who combine gongs with modular electronics to craft powerful soundscapes that invite the audience on a journey into deep listening and sonic exploration. \\n\\nDrawing on the rich harmonic spectrum of gongs and the shifting interplay of live electronics, they shape environments that move between density and stillness, weight and suspension. Metallic tones bloom and decay, low frequencies gather and recede, primal rhythms pulse and swell, textures emerge gradually, like tides responding to unseen forces.\\n\\n\\n\\n
