After a stacked first night down at Ormside Projects at the end of last year, Total Ninety is back for its second night with some of the best locals about, this time down at ‘Sui Generis’ on Kingsland Road, Dalston.\\n\\n\\nDJENNY\\n\\nDJenny is a DJ who’s style pulls inspiration from Chicago footwork icons RP Boo & DJ Rashad, ‘Peacefrog’ Techno, ‘Databass’ Electro and 90’s New Jersey House in the style of Romanthony. From Manchester to Nuremberg and most recently London she’s a co-founder of Total Ninety with many years of DJing under her belt. Her recent ‘Mix of the Week’ on Kindred saw her speed through 30+ Electro, Jungle and Footwork tracks. Expect impeccable taste and style.\\n\\n\\nSILV-O\\n\\nAfter a recent tour in Japan and New Zealand and off the back of his unmatched debut EP, M32, released via DJ Python’s ‘Worldwide Unlimited’ label, Silv-o is a DJ, musician and sound designer. His technical & conceptual sound-design work has seen him commissioned to work on short-film scores and collaborate with artists such as Klein, Mark Leckey and Silvia Kastel. His DJ style is wild, moving through Grime, Dancehall, Trap, Industrial and Singeli, mixed with unreleased demos and field recordings, you can hear dozens of Silv-o mixes on Balamii, Kindred & NTS. \\n\\nBEBELUNA\\n\\nBebeluna is a Somali self taught composer & musical artist based in North London.\\nThey prioritise feeling and lived experiences within the pieces they compose and explore the merging of all the (sub)cultures they're subjected to within their DJing and soundscapes. Continuously experimenting and straying from the norm, with the influences from the people that have come before, they strive to create anew.\\n\\n\\nSANGMUAH\\n\\nSangmuah is a DJ, writer and researcher based in Paris. His sets offer a studied but irreverent take on the exchanges between regional subgenres across the African diaspora. Expect enjoyment and danceability while exploring what might be shared between drill, gqom, hiplife, road rap and more. \\n\\n\\nMAX BALL\\n\\nDJ and producer Max Ball completes the T-90 lineup. With a large archive of DJ mixes from Noods Radio, Kindred and an NTS show for cult label The Trilogy Tapes in the bank, expect ripped records, UK Funky, Jungle and D&B. Past sets include nights at Cafe Oto, Ormside Projects, The White Hotel, and a recent sets down at Spanners for cult nights ‘Shearworm’ and ‘Infant Tree’.\\n\\n\\nILL EVANS\\n\\nIll Evans is a DJ best known as the co-founder of iconic London radio station/record shop ‘Kindred’. Alongside launching and running ‘Kindred’ for over 5 years Ill Evans in that time also founded and ran ‘System’, a sound system bar based in Newington Green. From running Kindred nights and regularly DJing across many of Londons best venues (Ormside Projects, FOLD, Venue M.O.T.), Ill Evans and Kindred have also ran nights and radio broadcasts in Tokyo, Taipei, Manchester and Glasgow.
