About this event
The first instalment of Women in Jazz Summer Sessions at Two Tribes CAMPFIRE with the incredible Connie Eliza, independent jazz-soul artist and songwriter, headlining the night. \\n\\nWhen life starts to feel a little too loud, Connie Eliza is the kind of artist who helps you tune back in. The independent jazz-soul singer from Essex brings a silky vocal tone and a deep love for groove, drawing influence from artists like The Stylistics, Stevie Wonder, Esperanza Spalding, and Lianne La Havas.\\n\\nWomen in Jazz is a platform dedicated to celebrating and showcasing the music and stories of women in jazz and improvised music.\\n\\nWomen have always played a central role in shaping jazz, yet represent only 5% of instrumentalists in the UK. WIJ exists to shift that narrative by spotlighting artists, building community, and inspiring the next generation of talent.\\n\\nTheir community spans over 10,500 artists, including singer-songwriters, producers, instrumentalists, and composers. Led by a team of experienced creatives, we develop projects across music, storytelling, and lived experience.\\n\\nWIJ has produced radio content for Sky Arts, Jazz FM, and British Airways, hosted panels at Love Supreme Festival, programmed live events at Ronnie Scott’s, and created the YouTube series Uncovered, spotlighting emerging female talent across the UK.\\n
