About this event
This one night exhibition explores how sound, specifically timbre, can influence the viewing experience of static art. Spanning two rooms, artists Em Sparey, Finn Jones, Flossie Battersby-Irvine and Rowan Periton have taken a mixed media illustrative approach to the idea of curiosity and adventure, drawing inspiration from paganism and folk culture. \\n\\nThe downstairs room follows a playful theme with lots of colour, a callback to the curiosity of childhood with a synthesiser based score playing from a surround system fully immersing you within the artworks. As you move upstairs, the exhibition shifts, focusing on past life and nature through set design and monoprint. The score for the upstairs incorporates found sounds and acoustic recordings which have been electronically altered alongside elements of original composition. \\n\\nThe exhibition takes place on the 21st of May at 27 Bartholomew St, London SE1 4AL between 18:30-22:30. Drinks and work from the artists will be available within. \\n\\n
