Section 01
Overview
FlashEvents ("FlashEvents," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes the information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have when you use our websites, mobile experiences, APIs, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Section 02
Information we collect
We collect information in three ways: information you provide, information collected automatically, and information from third parties.
Information you provide directly:
- Contact and feedback: when you message us through the contact form or email, we receive your name, email address, and the contents of your message.
- Event suggestions or corrections: details you submit about events, venues, or performers.
- Communications: messages, feedback, and other information you choose to share with us.
Information collected automatically when you use the Service:
- Device and browser data: IP address, device type, operating system, browser type and version, screen resolution, and language.
- Usage data: pages visited, links clicked, search queries, referring URLs, and time spent on pages.
- Approximate location: city- or region-level location derived from your IP address. With your permission, we may use more precise device location to power features like "near me" or to filter events by ZIP code you provide.
- Cookies and similar technologies: cookies, local storage, and similar identifiers used to remember your selected city, custom location, and preferences, and to measure performance.
Information from third parties: we may receive analytics, mapping, or diagnostic data from service providers (for example, Google Maps Platform when you load a map, or analytics tools that report aggregate traffic).
Section 03
How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
- Personalize content — for example, surfacing events near your selected city or chosen ZIP code.
- Respond to questions, feedback, and support requests.
- Measure usage, performance, and stability of the Service.
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms of Service.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
Section 04
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) to operate the Service and to understand how it’s used.
- Strictly necessary: required for core functionality, such as remembering the city you’ve selected or a custom ZIP-based location you’ve set.
- Performance and analytics: help us understand which pages and features are used, and identify issues.
- Preferences: remember settings like your selected city so you don’t have to re-enter them.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Doing so may affect parts of the Service that rely on them. We currently do not respond to "Do Not Track" signals because no industry standard has been adopted.
Section 05
How we share information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share information only as described below:
- Service providers: hosting, infrastructure, mapping (Google Maps Platform), email delivery, analytics, error monitoring, and similar vendors that process information on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
- Legal and safety: when we believe disclosure is required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of FlashEvents, our users, or others.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
- With your consent: when you direct us to share information.
When you click a link to a third-party website (for example, a venue or ticketing site), that third party will receive its own information about you, governed by its own privacy policy.
Section 06
Third-party services we rely on
Some features of the Service are powered by third parties:
- Google Maps Platform — for map display and ZIP-code geocoding. Your use of maps is also subject to Google’s Terms and Privacy Policy.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers — for serving the Service and storing data.
- Analytics providers — to measure usage and improve performance.
These providers process information under their own terms in addition to ours.
Section 07
Data retention
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, to comply with legal obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. Aggregated or de-identified information may be retained indefinitely.
Section 08
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your data, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@flashintelligence.ai. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what categories of personal information we collect and the purposes for which we use them; to request access to or deletion of your personal information; to correct inaccurate information; and to opt out of "sales" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell your personal information.
EEA, UK, and Switzerland (GDPR/UK GDPR): our legal bases for processing are typically (a) your consent, (b) the performance of a contract, (c) compliance with a legal obligation, and (d) our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
You can also adjust your browser to block or delete cookies and disable precise device location, and you can clear our cookie that stores your selected city or custom ZIP at any time.
Section 09
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you become aware of a security issue, please contact us immediately.
Section 10
Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at contact@flashintelligence.ai and we will take steps to delete it.
Section 11
International users
FlashEvents operates in the United States, and the Service is hosted in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and other countries that may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.
Section 12
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
