After the sold out last year the George Tavern Chinese duo TAIGA are back to London.\\n\\nBtw, if you go to The Great Escape a week before you can see them on 14th May at Patterns!\\n\\nTAIGA is an electronic music duo from Inner Mongolia and the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. \\n\\nTheir compositions fuse the traditional ethnic sounds and its contemporary approach to create their own nomadic psychedelic music. Rooted in the Mongolian traditions and musical heritage, they combine Khoomei throat singing technique, instruments such as the morin khuur (horse-head fiddle), the Tuvan doshpuluur lute, bass drums and guitars, all with influences from dub, broken beats, progressive, ambient, trance and electronic dance music. Each composition conveys a message and is a gateway to their authentic world and vision of life.\\n\\nSince moving to the party-hard city of Chengdu in 2019, TAIGA has evolved from a folk band into a late-night club wildcard, impressing crowds with their unique, multi-instrumental live show and developing a large and diverse fanbase. \\n\\nTAIGA performed in Europe at Tauron Nowa Muzyka festival Poland, Fusion festival Germany, Breminale festival Germany, Nordkette Wetterleuchten Festival Austria, 650 years of Schönefeld & German - Mongolian partnership festival Berlin Germany, FMM Sines Portugal, Fekete Zaj festival Hungary, Isis Garden in France, Humulus Lupulus festival Germany and club gigs in Augsburg, Berlin, Prague and London.
